Course Title: CERTIFICATE COURSE IN NUTRITION FUNDAMENTALS FOR SPORTS AND EXERCISE – Level 1
Duration: 12 Hours (1 Month, 8 Hours Online Theory & 4 Hours Hands-on Practical)
Course Overview:This beginner-level course introduces key nutrition concepts tailored to physical activity, sports performance, and wellness coaching. Participants will explore energy balance, macronutrients, hydration, myth-busting, and basic meal planning for active individuals. The course is ideal for fitness professionals, athletes, coaches, and enthusiasts seeking to make informed dietary choices. This program offers a well-rounded curriculum with 8 comprehensive modules that blend core theory with practical application, ensuring participants not only understand the fundamentals of sports nutrition but also gain real-world skills in assessing needs, planning meals, and guiding clients effectively.

No prior nutrition or science background is required.

A candidates performance in each module will be graded according to the following grading scheme.

8. Awarding Criteria
Participants who have received an aggregate average of 40 or above are considered as pass and will be awarded a certificate, if the mark is above 60 will be awarded a merit certificate and if the mark is above 70 for each module will be awarded a distinction.
- Distinction: 70% and above
- Merit: 60%-69%
- Pass: 50%-59%
Participants must achieve an aggregate average of 50% or above to receive certification.
Academic Integrity
All exams and assessments (except where team effort is required and as such specified) are to be individual work with no discussion or collaboration with others permitted. In-class assignments may be either individual or group work as directed by the lecturer. Students are expected to adhere to the code of conduct as outlined in the NDH lifestyle campus. Any incidents of academic misconduct such as cheating, plagiarism, copying others’ work, or other inappropriate assistance on examinations will be treated with zero tolerance and will result in a grade of "F" for the course. Breaches of academic integrity may also result in other actions being taken by the Institute.
